Nanny's shoes and crashing tables

Friday was an interesting day! It started off with Eli sleeping in until about 7:45, I was hoping he'd sleep in until after 8 since he hadn't been sleeping very well. For breakfast I made (the night before) applesauce muffins which have winter squash in them. They were really yummy and you can't taste the squash or the applesauce. Eli really liked the muffin and asked for more when he finished his banana and muffin (they were big muffins too). Since Eli woke up so late we didn't have time to go the gym before going to gymboree so we just chilled at home until time to go to class. Eli did a great in class even if he wanted Ms. Kristina or Ms. Stacy (Ethan's mom) to hold him. Eli has also learned to jump off the equipment on to a nice big foam mat. He wont jump unless I am there to "catch" him.

After Gymboree Eli and I headed over to Market Street for a free smoothie from Red Mango. Their smoothies are a little sweeter than Eli and I prefer but it was still good and FREE! After Eli got his smoothie we walked over to Boarders for story time where we ran into Stacy and Ethan again. Eli did great during story time, he made it through 3 books, 2 of which he sat in his own chair. He would have probably made it through the last book too if it hadn't been so long after his lunch time. Since Eli was so hungry I took him to Cafe Express for lunch where he chowed down on some chicken strips and sweet potato fries. I was so proud of him he ate so well and acted like a little gentleman during his lunch. After lunch Eli and I headed home. I guess I really wore him out because he passed out before we even got off of 45 for Rayford rd.

Thomas and I made plans to go out with some friends that night so Nanny and Papa came over to baby sit. When Eli woke up Nanny was there to get him out of the crib and boy was Eli excited! Eli also discovered Nanny's shoes and had a fun time walking around in them.

Right before Thomas and I were about to leave to met our friends Eli decided to try and walk in Nanny's shoes while no one was watching. We are assuming that he lost his balance and grabbed a hold of our glass table in the entry way which then came crashing down! It was a miracle that the table missed Eli. There wasn't a scratch or bump on the boy. The table top must have just went right over his head before it crashed on the ground and shattered in a million pieces. I am so thankful that Eli was totally untouched and we needed to get rid of that table anyways it was to dangerous with a toddler (obliviously!).
