Another Mullinnix Saturday

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband that is an awesome daddy. Thomas has started taking Eli out and about on Saturday mornings and letting me have a few hours to my self, I am always welcome to go with them though. I have been really enjoying my Saturday mornings to my self. This Saturday I decided to try a spinning class at the gym. the class was interesting. I'm not sure I totally sold on the whole spinning thing I think I need to try a different instructor. But after the spinning class I went to the 30 minute long ab class. I would have never stayed that long at the gym if I had Eli with me. Then I got to go run errands with out having to drag Eli along. While I was at the gym and running errands Thomas and Eli went to Walmart to get 2 new tires on the car which took over 2 hours! Thomas sure did have a time trying to keep Eli entertained for that long!

When the car was finally finished the boys came and met me at the mall so we could get lunch together. Eli likes to go play on the little kiddie rides and we don't even have to put money in them for him to have fun. Eli decided he need the keys to try and make the ride start!

When Eli first got in this ride he put his arm around the worm and gave it a kiss. Of course I couldn't get my camera out fast enough to get that picture!

After a yummy lunch of Chick-fil-a we headed home so Eli could nap and Thomas could pack for Kazakhstan. Eli only napped and hour and really need a lot more sleep then that! But Thomas got to say good bye before he left for the week. After Thomas left Eli and I got ready to go to Reagan's 2nd birthday party where Eli had not one but two pieces of birthday cake. Eli had such a great time playing with his little friends that he didn't want to leave but we had another event to go to that evening.

Eli was acting so tired that I hoped he would fall asleep on our way to our Sunday school social so we left early. Of course Eli did not even come close to falling asleep on our way there and we were way early. Luckily there was a really nice little park close the couples house where we were going. While we were at the park there was another family there and they had a little boy about Eli's age and a little girl about 5. Eli took to the little girl right away and started following her all over the equipment. It was so cute, the little girls brother wanted nothing to do with playing on the equipment and was very timid about it but not Eli he was all over it and going down the big slide. The little girl kept getting in trouble because she would want Eli to follow her on stuff he was just too little to do. Her parents kept telling her Eli was like her little brother and too little to do that stuff. But of course Eli doesn't think he's too little to do anything!

After playing at the park for a little bit we went to the social where we had an awesome time. Eli is defiantly starting to show more of his own will more and more. I could really see this during the social. Eli wanted to go upstairs (and so did Hudson) but Eli knows he is not allowed to go upstairs unless he asks and has someone watch him. Well, apparently Hudson was on the stairs so Eli went and got Hudson's mommy (Hudson is about 4 months younger than Eli) and asked her if he could go up the stairs. When I went looking for Eli since I hadn't seen him for a minute or so I found him climbing the stairs with Hudson and Julie watching. Eli also found ways to get outside when I didn't want to take him out. One time he got Lacy to let him out (Lacy is about 5) and another time he got another adult to open the door and let him out. There were plenty of adults outside playing with the kids so it was ok, but that boy is getting sneaky!
