Mother's day

Today was mother's day and I woke up not feeling very well. But I did get to sleep in! I was hoping that since Eli didn't get to bed till late that he would sleep in. He only slept in till 7:15 but I guess I'll take that as sleeping in. Eli (by the ways of Thomas) got me a pretty Orchad and a new coffee mug that has a lid and says mom in many different languages. Both were a great surprise because I told Thomas all I wanted for mother's day was a relaxed day and brunch at a nice restaurant that wasn't crazy.

We made it church, though a bit late. We had to stop and get doughnuts for Sunday school. I signed up to bring breakfast a couple months ago not realizing that it was Mother's day and I didn't have time to make anything. We made it in time for the sermon which was who would be in heaven. Than during the invitation everyone who made a box of supplies for children in Ethiopia was to bring them up front and place them on the alter so we could pray over them. It was very touching and moving. In Sunday school we had a lesson on Abraham and Sarah and being told that Sarah would have a child. It brought up some good discussions.

After Sunday school we went over to The Woodlands Country Club for a lovely Mother's day brunch. Eli was actually very well behaved and enjoyed a waffle. He also did a very good job of drinking water from a glass. It was a very nice brunch and very low key since they only seat people at certain times so there was no coming and going of tables and a lot less crazy. After brunch we headed home and poor Eli was so tired he couldn't make it the 5 miles home, he fell asleep in the car. We all enjoyed a lovely long time. When Eli woke up from the nap I discovered that I had nothing to make dinner with so Thomas decided it would be a good idea to go to IHOP for dinner. We didn't even know that they had a kids eat free special going on. Eli had a few issues but was a good little eater. He ate 1.5 pancakes and a good amount of his cheese omelet. After dinner we went home to get Eli ready for bed. Before we got him in his pjs Eli discovered that he could get things wet with his spit from his mouth. So Eli was taking drool from his mouth and putting it on his drum and just laughing! It was a very low key and laid back mother's day I loved it! I love my son and am so blessed to have him in my life. I love my husband who always trys to make me feel special and loved! I am so blessed to have 2 wonderful guys in my life!
