Today I got early to go to the gym before my boys got up. I was running a little late and trying to get out of the house. As I was going into the kitchen to get my water I saw a big ugly hairy brown spider. I thought to myself that I need to kill it because I don't want it in my house and chance it biting Eli. I hate spiders and the thought of squashing it with a paper towel and feeling the spider squished just grossed me out. So I grabbed Eli's broom and decided to kill it with that. Before I hit it with the broom I noticed something hanging from its leg and just assumed it was a "dust bunny" of some sort. Boy was I wrong, when I hit that spider with the broom hundreds of baby spiders went all over the floor. By this time I was freaking out, I decided not to wake Thomas up since I thought having a grumpy husband would be worse then the baby spiders all over the floor. Luckly most of the babies came out dead. I was proud of myself for cleaning up all the spiders and killing the big mama spider with out waking my husband. I finally made it to the gym and had a good work out. Ever since I watched Charlotte's Web as I child I have always been scared of killing a spider with an egg sack or having an egg sack in my house so pretty much one of my worst fears came true this morning and I think I handled it well!
After the gym I came home and got Eli and I ready to make a trip down to League City to go pick strawberries with Melissa, Caleb and Katy. Once we got down there Melissa need to feed Caleb lunch, since he just woke up so I gave Eli a snack. I gave Eli veggie chips where instead of eating them he would stack them then restack them in another location. After the boys ate we decided we would head to Chick-fil-a for lunch. The boys were very well behaved and allowed us girls to visit. Finally we headed out to Froberg farm to pick Strawberries. It was warm but we had a blast! Caleb even rode with Eli in the wagon for about 20 minutes.

Caleb chillin in his cool hat
Eli really liked the bucket
Strawberries and Keys. Eli got ahold of Melissa's keys when wee got to the farm and would not let them go. He was holding them for safe keeping in the bucket.
Eli is eating one of the berries I out in the bucket. I have no idea how many he ate while we were picking but by the time we left the farm he was covered in berry juice.
At first i couldn't get Eli out of the wagon to pick strawberries but he found out that he could pick some from the wagon.
He was doing a good job picking berries from the wagon
He finally decided to get out of the wagon and carry the bucket.
The bucket was almost as big as him
Cute boy in a strawberry patch!

Eli and Aunt Melissa picking berries
A strange berry I found
Eli can multitask, He can hold on to keys and pick strawberries at the same time.
Caleb wanted to take a turn pulling the wagon
Eli was really getting into picking the strawberries. He was picking ever berry he saw. When I explained to him to only pick the red ones he did just that. He's such a smart guy!
Eli decided to get lazy and sit on the bucket while picking
Had to get another picture of him picking another strawberry
Caleb just chilling with aunt Katy!
We had so much fun at the farm and boys really seemed to enjoy it. The farm is located right next to rail road tracks and while we were checking out a train went by. Eli was so excited to be so close to a cho-cho train. Then we headed back to Melissa's house. After the boys had a bit of a nap we went out side to wait for Jonathan to get home and Thomas to get there too. While we waited we played with bubbles. Aunt Katy taught Eli how to "blow" bubbles. It was so cute, I have a bubbly blower that you push a button and a little fan blows the bubbles. Aunt Katy showed Eli how to dip the wand into the bubble solution and push the button to get the bubbles.
Thomas finally go to Melissa and Jonathan's house after we put the boys to bed. We ordered some yummy pizza with angel food cake topped with strawberries (of course) and us "kids" (Thomas, Melissa and Katy are siblings) got to visit for awhile before Katy had to go home and the rest of us couldn't keep our eyes open. It was such a fun but exhausting day but we had to get up early the next morning to go do a fun run!
