Eli's 4!

My baby boy is FOUR!  I can't believe it, how did that happen.

Eli's birthday started before the sun was up.  He was so excited about the balloons on his chair at breakfast and the package at his place.

I did manage to talk him into putting on his birthday shirt before opening his gift. He paused for just a moment to let me get a picture before...

tearing into his present from mommy and daddy.

he was so excited for his new boots, belt with buckle and cowboy shirt.

He then was ready to enjoy his birthday pancakes with 4 candles on them.

all dressed up in his hat, boots and belt, ready to go the gym (his birthday request was to go to the gym, lucky mommy!)

After the gym we headed over to market street for a photo op and Starbucks.

At Starbucks the birthday boy got a birthday cake-pop!  Then we walked around market street getting birthday pictures.

This was about the best picture I got of the 2 of them together.

Then after nap time it was time for Eli and Hannah Joy's birthday party.  Eli requested a cowboy party and I did my best to deliver.

Eli asked for a boot cake and I think Kroger's did an amazing job.

Drinks chilling awaiting our guests.

The Mullinnix horse corral

Hannah Joy also had a birthday dress (that is suppose to be a 1 on the front of her dress)

Some of the decorations and party gifts for our friends

More decoration

I did manage to take a couple of pictures with the birthday girl but I don't think I got one with the birthday boy, he was too busy playing cowboy with his friends.

The chuck wagon full of goodies.

Our birthday cowboy taking a rest with some juice

We were blessed that daddy was able to leave work a little early to party with us.

2 cowboys taking a swig.

The cowboy loot

The mommies chilling on the patio while our cowboy/cowgirls played

We also had horse races

Our super fast cowboy running barrels

He's supper fast!

next we played whoa and giddy-up (red light green light)

While I got set up for the birthday cake/cupcakes we had all the kids decorate their pinata bags.  Which gave me just enough time to get everything ready before we lost the kids to playing again.

I love this picture because it captures my kids perfectly, notice The Diva has her finger in the icing.  Too bad we forgot to get daddy in the shot!

Which is bluer, Eli's eyes or his mouth?

Those were some blue cupcakes!

Even the Diva got some.  Next was present time.

Eli is really into Batman.

Eli has turned into a present opening pro!  He loved every gift he received and couldn't wait to play with all his new toys.  But after our guests left mommy and daddy had to quickly clean up because we had one more surprise for Eli!

Eli's birthday fell on National night out this year.  Our subdivision through a party at our park that included hamburgers, hot dogs, bounce houses, inflatable slides and emergency vehicles.  So we got the kids in the stroller and walked over to our park for an evening of fun.

The kids had a great time at the park but Eli was eager to get home to play with his new toys and it was the Diva's bed time.

The kids were pretty tired when we loaded them back in the stroller to head for home.

The were sweetly playing with each other on the way home.  (Eli is messing with HJ's foot)

As I put the Diva to bed the boys got the legos out

And built a fish with teeth!

Thank you so much to everyone that came and celebrated with us!

That night Eli told me he had an awesome birthday!  Of course the net day Eli asked me how much longer until he's 5!
