This morning Thomas, Eli and I got up really early and headed down to Downtown Houston so that i could run in The Great Pumpkin Fun Run. I ran this race last year with a friend and we had so much fun I decided to run it again this year. I hope to make this a family tradition. This fun run is to support the Texas Heart Institute and is a lot of fun. A lot of the runners dress up in costumes and then there is a costume contest for the kiddos at the end. As I ran the race my boys stood on the side to cheer me on. Then afterwards we played around city hall (dancing to music) while waiting for the costume contest to began where Eli would participate.
After the run Eli decided the only means of transportation he was welling to use was on mommy's shoulders.
Saturday is normally daddy donut day but since we were in Houston this morning we brought our donuts with us. So Eli enjoyed his donuts with daddy outside on a beautiful morning!
Packet pick up for the race was way down in Houston so I decided to wait till race day to get mine. But since I waited so long the smallest size shirt they had was an adult large!
It was just a beautiful morning in Houston. It was chilly but beautiful!
E helping daddy push the stroller to the stage area to listen to the band while we wait for the costume contest.
Eli and his new monkey that he won last night in a costume contest.
The photographers' where in love with my little cow and this cute little pumpkin who is just 11 months old (and almost as big as E)
I think this guy is a photographer for the Chronicle.
E was obsessed with his registration entry.
A man and his cow!
E makes girl friends where ever he goes. He charmed this little 11 month old pumpkin, Jane. Well, I think Jane just wanted to play with E’s bell, blanky and monkey.
She was just after his bell and E was just trying to hug her.
Another picture of a man and his little cow.
Waiting in line for our turn on stage.
Eli was so ready to get on stage but as soon as he did he got stage fright.
He was still able to perform and mooed for everyone!
Eli charmed everyone and all the judges and took home 1st place in the costume contest and won him self a small savings bond!
We had a fabulous morning that started out at 6 am and we didn’t get back home until almost noon. Where all 3 of us took naps! We all had so much fun and look forward to doing it again next year!
