Thomas is "working from home", since Tuesday. Eli and I are so happy to have him home for a while. When Thomas is working at Parker in Greenway Plaza he leaves home before we are up and gets home just minutes before Eli goes to bed. Eli and I will enjoy having him home for awhile.
We have had so many fun days this week, well besides Eli's tantrums. We are hoping that Eli is just really fussy because of his teeth and it's not the start of the terrible twos. Wednesday we took Eli to the Houston Livestock show. We had so much fun, we saw all the animals and then spent some time in the carnival where I won Eli a little blue stuffed dog. On our way back to our car we took a tram ride which is a golf cart with carts attached. All of us were sitting in the last cart, the driver took a turn a bit to sharp and apparently partly disconnected the cart. While we were going the cart came unattached and we hit the cart in front of us. Luckily no one was hurt. We also got cotton candy and I must have the one child who would not eat cotton candy! It was a fun day despite a few tantrums. The thing that stinks is when we got home and I tried to upload the pictures to my computer I found out that my card was messed up. So there are no pictures from our fun day at the livestock show.
Thursday we took Eli back to the doctors for a follow up appointment to make sure the ear infection is gone and the tonsillitis has cleared up. Eli was all clear! The doctor did say that he had some fluid in his ears. But the best news is that Eli gained back all the weight that he had lost over the month of February in just 10 days! He actually gained more then he lost he is now 20 lbs 10 ozs! We then took Eli out for pizza at Grimaldi's to cheer Eli up, he hates the doctors. Eli loved the pizza! After Eli's nap we took him to Gymborree for open gym. Then we took him to get gelato for the first time. He loved that too! He was even able to feed him self a lot of the ice cream. After we all got home I left my boys to go to a MNO. It was nice to get together with other ladies from the church.
Today was so much fun! I hit the gym early and left Thomas in charge of Eli for the morning. I know those 2 had a blast while I was gone because the house was pretty trashed when I got home. It's amazing home much damage a 17 month old can do in such a short amount of time. After I got home we got ready and went to Gymboree for a makeup class. Eli got to make a lot of new friends today because we knew no one there. There was one little boy, Ethan, that Eli seemed to really like and they played simi nice together. I wonder if we will see him again. After gymboree we went to cici's for lunch. We all enjoyed our pizza then went home for a nap. After Eli's nap we went to our friend's eldest boy's 6th birthday party. It was a science party and was a lot of fun! Eli had a fun watching the science experiments. Of course he enjoyed the cup cake too! After the party we were suppose to meet my parents and my sister family for a picnic but my brother-in-law got sick so it was canceled. But of course I didn't check my phone until we were in the car and on our way to meet everyone so we were all ready for a picnic. We decided we would stop and get some sandwiches and have a picnic in Town Green Park. We had a blast!
Eli has been really working on his vocabulary this week. He is actually trying to say some words. We think he is trying to say fish, ball, duck and quack. They don't come out quite right but at least he's starting to try to say words. Eli has a new sign too, he signs banana.
