1st day of school!

Eli started back to Mother's day out this past week. He is going to First kids Academy this year (which is at our church). Eli was very excited to go up until we got there. That's when the meltdown started. He told me that morning he was not going to cry but I guess he forgot about that when he got to school. So the only pictures I was able to get of him that morning were before we got inside.

Eli was still excited to go back to school on Thursday but this time in the car he told me he was going to cry and sure enough he didn't even make it in the room but had his break down in the hallway. Even with all the crying Eli would tell me when I pick him up that he had a good time and wants to go back. When I asked him why he cried he told me he just wanted me to stay with him. He sure knows how to tug at his mommy's heart strings!

My Birthday

For my 32nd birthday all I wanted was a low key day and I think I got it. Our day started out with the gym and then after the gym E and I went to one of my favorite places, Starbucks! After enjoying a cup of coffee for me and a smoothie for E we headed up to Conroe to Incredible Pizza Company to meet up with some friends. I know IPC is not the place one usually goes to for their 32nd birthday lunch but I thought I wouldn't have to fight with E at IPC and I was correct!

After nap we got ready to meet up with my parents at Kobe for my birthday dinner where I got to have sushi and everyone else enjoyed the Hibachi grill. Eli loved watching the chef cook and the chef seemed to try to make is entertaining for Eli. Then I received the best present that a 32 year old mommy of a 2 year old could receive, my parents took Eli home with them for the night! So I got to wake up on my own and have Friday all to myself. I had a great birthday and the next day my sweet husband made me a yummy dinner for just the 2 of us and cleaned up the kitchen!

Eli watching the chef cook, just love that smile.

Eli trying to catch the rice that chef threw. He got really close to catching it!

Me and my boy, he was too busy to be bothered to take a picture with his mommy

Sweet things Eli says to his mommy

while riding in the car I was "dancing" to Shine, by the Newsboys and Eli says, "Mommy don't do that" I ask, "why". Eli says, "because it makes me sad"

while E was picking out his books to read before bed time, "I said how about Lyle?" E say, "How about NOT Lyle!" Then the book he does pick I ask him if he knows I don't like that book and he says, "I know"

Eli: It's thundering! Me: That's God telling you to eat your dinner. (didn't work by the way)

told Eli we were going to do something fun tomorrow and he asks, "are we going to Nanny's house?"!

another Eli quote: "mommy, your tummy is getting BIG!" good thing I'm pregnant o that would have stun!

Eli - "I see a big belly" me - "who's big belly do you see?" Eli - "mommy's big belly"

As Thomas and Eli were leaving for the Astro game, Thomas told Eli to say, "Go Astros!" So Eli says, "Go Astronauts!

Thomas asked me how Hannah was doing and Eli corrected him and said, "it's Hannah Joy daddy!"

Profound statement from the boy, "mommy that water is wet!"

another profound statement from the boy, "The hot is hot!"

Busy Saturday Night

We had a very busy Saturday night after dinner.

We played fort for the 1st time where we hid from the scary man.

Eli played under the laundry basket with his blanky (gaga) and monkey.

Eli and daddy spent sometime wrestling.

Then mommy taught Eli how to take pictures without taking a picture of his fingers!

And daddy gave Eli a lesson on how to hammer and pull nails.

Love weekend nights like this one, and look forward to adding one more sweet little one to the mix!
