A little bear, a little chicken and some cheering up
Today was a fun busy day! E and I started our Monday morning out like normal. Well, maybe not so normal since I had to wake the boy up at 8:15, he never sleeps that late! I had to wake him up so we could start our fun busy day.
After the gym E and I head to what I believe is going to be E’s new favorite place, Bouncing Bears. When we got there E wouldn’t do anything but hang on me. I kept asking if he wanted to go down a slide and he wouldn’t. Finally Cindy asked if he wanted to go down the slide with her and he immediately went (boy am I feeling special!)
But after sliding with Cindy E was roaring to go. So he climbed the rock wall.
And slide down by himself
Then since he did so well on the last rock wall he climbed a harder one and after a few go arounds with mommy helping he did it all by himself!
Aubrey and E decided to go through the obstacle course together. E made me carry him through the whole thing. That was not an easy thing, these things are not made for adults!
Of course we had to spend time on the trampoline!
Then E decided to go down a slide with Amanda
After Bouncing Bears we decided to join Aubrey, her mommy and baby brother and Chick-fil-a. The manager came over and gave us all chick-fil-a hats.
The kids were hamming it up for the camera!
After nap time E decided to try on my workout gloves. I think he wants to give weight lifting a try.
Eli decided to wait a while before trying weight lifting so we went across the street to play with our neighbor Mia. Mia broke her leg yesterday so we went to go cheer her up. Eli even brought her a hat from Chick-fil-a.
They colored together.
They had milk and read books together.
Then Mia’s grandparents came over and they all played blocks.
After playing with Mia E and I went home to wait for Thomas to get home from work and have dinner. After dinner we all retreated to the play room where we had our nightly dance party. One of these days I will get that on video!

Away with the old
We decided to start our new year off by packing up some old things and storing them.
Eli decided to get us started. (he climbed in and put the lid on him self).

Playdough and Potty
Eli and daddy had a great time playing with the dough.
Eli never sticks with any activity for more then 5 seconds so you can imagine our surprise when he played with the playdough for over 30 minutes.
Eli was really excited about the cookie cutters in the playdough.
And just because I want something to embarrass Eli with when he's dating! Enjoy!

New Years Day 2011!
Happy New Year! We were all in bed before midnight last night. But that was because Eli had a horrible time sleeping. 1st he couldn’t stop coughing and then because the coughing kept waking him up the fireworks the neighbors where shooting off scared him. Eli decided he was done sleeping in his bed and had to sleep in the bed with mommy. Which meant that daddy got to go sleep in the kids room on the bunk bed. And mommy got absolutely no sleep because every time I would start to drift off E would have a coughing fit. I think E’s coughing finally calmed down around 4 am and I got about 3 to 3.5 hours of sleep before E decided it was time to get up for the day.
My dad went down the road to get us donuts for breakfast as not to make noise in the kitchen and wake us up. That was so sweet of him. I had to take a picture of my husband all snuggled up in the bunk bed.
After breakfast of donuts and hot chocolate complete with marshmallows Eli decided to start off the new year by playing blocks with Nanny.
Then decided to go vacuum with Pop Pop.
Vacuuming didn’t last long as we found Pop Pop laying on the couch cushion on the floor instead of vacuuming the couch!
Since I got no sleep the night before and E didn’t sleep well at all we decided it would be a good idea to head for home before lunch. We spent the rest of the 1st day of 2011 relaxing, watching TV and playing with toys. Not a bad way to spend the 1st day of 2011!
