Just a warning, the next few posts will be very heavy on pictures! Thomas got me a new camera for Christmas and gave it to me a couple of days early so I could capture our Christmas fun with it.
Or Christmas Eve was spent the same as we have the past couple of Years. We headed down to Baytown in the morning to spend lunch with Granny. I love our Christmas Eve lunch Thomas and I pick up a nugget try from Chick-fil-a and Granny and mom provide sandwich stuff and chips and dip. It’s a very fun and informal lunch
We had to say hi to Uncle Gorge as soon as we got there.
Eli had so much fun looking at all the ordainments on Granny’s tree. He would point to each one and say, “what’s that”.
Then we had to go outside and play on the teeter totter.
But then E saw and even better teeter totter!
Come on Dad play with me!
Having so much fun on the teeter totter.
The teeter totter can be kind of painful when you are an adult
Then we had to explore the wind chimes by the boat house
Then back to the teeter totter
I just love this picture with the house in the back ground
On the way back to the house we found a stick
Just a whole bunch of cuteness!
Back to the teeter totter but this time with cousins!
Cousins on the other teeter totter
My sister getting my Granny to take a picture.
Laura fixing the ham for the lunch meat platter.
Eli had a great time playing with the magnify glass. He threw a fit when we had to leave and he had to leave the glass at Grannys.
All the great grandkids with 2 great Grandmas!
After we left Granny’s house we headed home so E could take a nap before heading to our Church for the kid geared Christmas eve service. This service is a blast and really short as to keep the attention of little ones with very short attention spans!
it Even snows during the service. This is Eli dancing in the snow up front.
After the kids take presents for baby Jesus they get to go up on stage while pastor Bruce reads them a story.
Eli’s friend Abam
Eli sat on stage almost the whole story because he sat with his girl friend Aubrey.
This is when E noticed me and decided he no longer wanted to sit on stage and listen to the story.
After church we headed to IHOP with my sister and 3 of her 4 kids for dinner. Then went back to my house for Jesus’s Birthday party where my mom, grandmama, Brother and his family and my sister and her family joined us. We sang Christmas Carols, sang happy birthday to Jesus and then had cupcakes.
Here is a picture of me just so I’m in one. Eli thought I need a bow too.
After everyone left we got E into his Christmas PJs and let E open one present.
When I was growing up, every Christmas Eve my dad would read us the story, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. This is a tradition I want to start with Eli so his Christmas Eve gift was the book and a stuffed Grinch.
Eli loved his Grinch and was a big help picking up the wrapping paper to through away.
Then E decided i need 2 bows.
My dad also had a big stuffed Grinch doll. On one side the Grinch is mean and on the other side the Grinch is nice. All through December you leave the Grinch on the mean side and then after you read the story you turn him around to the nice side. I was lucky enough to find one of these Stuffed Grinches on EBay so now our family has one too!
