Christmas Day!

Christmas just keeps getting better and better!  I thought last year was a blast but this year was even better!  We had a rough night before Christmas morning.  I don’t know if E’s teeth were hurting him or he fell out of the bed (which is what he told us) or he was just super excited for the morning but he ended up in our bed and did not sleep well the whole night which meant we were 3 tired people Christmas morning.  But that didn’t stop the excitement!

004

When will I learn that I should be video taping these moments instead of taking pictures!  Oh well at least I caught this picture.  I think it catches a lot of his excitement.  Eli is saying, “My drums!”

005

And here are the drums from Nanny and Pop Pop that caused all that excitement.

  014

Eli must have been a good boy because Santa brought him lots of good stuff!  That pillow pet has been snuggling with E every night!

019    028

But after taking a look at what Santa brought E had to get back on his drums!

035

We finally got E off the drums to look through his stocking.  He’s modeling his new Bob watch.

  042

That stocking can hold a lot of stuff!

046

Digging way deep to make sure he got everything out.

048

Checking out the drums while eating a candy cane before breakfast!

050

Eli finally noticed that the cookies and egg nog we left for Santa were gone.

053

After the candy cane break it was back to the business of opening more presents.

054

PJs from Granny (always needed!)

056

Eli had to stand up to get this one open.

 060

A cowboy hat from mom and dad.

063

This was my present!  Isn’t cute?!

  071

Look at all the new trains!

089 090

For some reason Eli decided that Thomas needed a spanking.

093

Daddy being silly!

100

After all the present opening fun we had breakfast of cinnamon rolls, egg nog and read the Christmas story.

101 102

Eli is just like his daddy and loves egg nog!

111

After Breakfast Eli decided to try out his new boots.  It took him a little practice to walk in them.

113  116

Gotta love a boy in PJs, hat and boots!

   125

Eli had to wear his hat and boots in the car on the way down to League City.  What you don’t see in this picture is that E had to also bring his Pillow Pet with him.

131

When we got to Melissa and Jonathan’s house we seemed to have caught Caleb off guard!

136

Then GG and GPaw showed up and brought the boys their first scooter.

157

159

163

So the boys spent a lot of time being pushed around the house on the scooters.

172

After all the excitement E needed a break on the Pillow Pet!

173   176

I decided to torture Caleb with Eli’s hat and boots.  He wasn’t much a fan of them but he sure did look cute in them.

186

I think the boys really enjoyed their new scooters!

196

They then enjoyed a buffet of Cheerios

 204

of course Uncle Derrill showed up and had to try on E’s new hat.

209

then Eli had to check out Uncle Derrill’s new hat that had a light on the brim.

216

Since Uncle Derrill had E’s hat E decided to wear Uncle Derrill’s hat.

222

Caleb got a new chair for Christmas and Eli thought it was pretty neat.  I don’t think Caleb liked Sharing his cool chair!

232

The boys did play well together.

271

And Eli actually ate some Christmas dinner (I was totally shocked!)  So he got to enjoy a cake ball.

278

Look mom 2 scooters!

284

Thomas got to pass out the gifts.

288

Eli loves girls.  This is Lana, my sister-in-law’s sister-in-law’s little girl (did you follow that?)  We caught these two reading together at the table.

291

Of course there was more gift opening for Eli

293

Eli brought Lana a gift.

295

She looked so cute in her new tutu

298

and more presents for Eli

299

An another gift

 304

and once Eli finished opening all his presents he decided to help Caleb with his.

We had such a great Christmas.  Each year gets better and better!
