Mother's Day

I had a wonderful mother's day today. It started at 5:40 when a little boy started making noises right by my ear. Luckily when I put him in our bed he went back to sleep. Of course I couldn't fall back to sleep because my new little one thinks it's a good idea to sit right on my bladder! So while my boys snored I came downstairs to fix my breakfast and eat in the quietness of the morning. When E woke up for good this morning we snuggled in bed and watched Diego while Thomas got ready to go. Thomas and I did have a bit if a misunderstanding. I thought he was taking E out for donuts before church and leaving me home to get ready for church and Thomas was thinking that we would all go and get donuts and then head to church. I was able to get ready real quick and we all went for donuts!

After church my boys took me to brunch at the Marriott. I love brunch, what is better than breakfast and lunch at the same time! We enjoyed the brunch and I thought E was very well behaved. Eli just loved the chocolate fountain, sadly this is the only picture that I took all day!

After brunch we all came home for naps. All of us including the cat took some kind of nap. Once everyone woke up from nap we went for snowcones and to the park.

I love Sundays like this, just nice and relaxing. I can;t wait till next year when I will be a mother of 2!

Surprise!

It has been a long time since I last updated my blog!  One of the reasons is that I got very sick the day after Valentine’s day.  We assume it was the flu since I had all the flu symptoms, you know, the feel like you are dying symptoms.  Well, after a week of being down with the flu my boys went to the zoo for a day and left me at home for one more day of recovery to make sure I was well, by that night I was throwing up everything.  We guessed I somehow picked up the stomach bug that was going around and then again we had another theory on why I was sick but in order to explain that I have to tell you about a phone call I received the Wednesday before Valentine’s Day.

That Wednesday was one of the really cold icy days that we had here so Thomas came home early from work that day.  As we were sitting together watching TV (during Eli’s nap) the Dr.’s office called and asked me an interesting question, “could you be pregnant?”.  What’s strange about this question is that I had had a D&C back in December due to A molar pregnancy and had to go have my blood drawn weekly to make sure my HCG levels went back to 0.  My last blood draw before this one came back at a 7 (you can’t get pregnant if you still have HCG in your system).  But when the nurse called me my levels had jumped from a 7 to 500!  We guess they dropped to 0 and pretty much the next day I got pregnant.  This is the first time I have ever been surprised by a pregnancy (and this is my 5th pregnancy!).

So now we are not sure if I had a stomach bug or just really bad morning sickness.  All I know was it was so bad I couldn’t function and dropped over 10 pounds.  Luckily after a week it lessened.  I am still having a hard time with the morning sickness but at least I can now function and take care of Eli.  Even though Thomas has been doing such a great job taking care of me and Eli!  I thank God for such a sweet, loving and caring husband!

Since I don’t have a good history with pregnancy we decided to keep it quiet until the 1st ultrasound, which was today!  As you can see we have a cute little gummy bear!  We also got to see and hear the heart beat it was beating at 159.  We are so excited, praise the lord, it has been a hard year for us but God is good.

We told Eli about the baby and asked if he want a sister or a brother and he said sister.  We will see what God blesses us with.  Baby Mullinnix #2 is due October 16th 2011!

Hanging out at the Neighbors

We were having one of our wonderful Texas winter days so E and I were playing outside and our neighbor across the street decided to wash her car.  She also brought her little girl outside to enjoy the weather.  Mia broke her leg a couple of weeks ago so she is in a pretty big cast.  I brought E over to play with Mia but he was more interested in helping Petra wash her car!

Two of a Kind

Eli loves his daddy and wants to do everything his daddy does which include playing the PS3!

Bad Weather day!

Wow, It's been a while since I have updated my blog.

Last week the city of Houston and surrounding areas got frozen in. Which meant that Thomas was home but we couldn't go any where due to icy roads. So while house bond we tried to make the best of and kept E as busy as possible. E and I started our morning with our normal breakfast routine then daddy entertained E with lots of music videos. Once E tired of those I started in with some fun home activities.

We colored and did stickers.  (we also played play dough but I forgot to take a picture of that)

Then Eli decided to do a little cooking of his own in the pantry.

After nap the temps raised enough that we all headed out to the mall to use our Groupon to Build-a-Bear.  Where E built a camo bear who he named Bear (very creative).  Once home I think he had more fun with the box then he did the bear.  After the mall we headed to Chick-fil-A to have dinner and use up some energy before bed.

We had the best day being cooped up inside!
